HAY is a Danish interior design company that has become an integral part of modern decor, and living through their unique viewpoint on everything from drinking straws, to side tables, chairs, cabinetry, kitchenware, and even French presses. The brand has not approached lighting until now, with their Fall 2022 collection.

Using their design eye, HAY teamed up with experts in lighting, taking inspiration from architecture, and recent innovations to give us a grouping of lighting options in the PARADE LAMP, the LBM Lamp, the Anagram Lamp, and the Factor Linear Lamp.

The PARADE Lamps are punctuated by angular domes, glossy colors, and opaque glass pieces that make a statement whether they are lighted or not, with design work from Jonas Trampedach and Viola Heyn-Johnsen. Their shades of green, yellow, and pink fill the home during the day, and provide a soft framing to the lamps at night. Each has a square base to move and light up your decor wherever.

Inspired by Luis Baragán Morfín, the LBM Lamp is designed by Moises Hernandez who references the architects work in the lamp. The lamp features a frame that envelopes the light like Morfín’s buildings do. Folded vertical sheet steel in a variety of primary colors creates the L-shaped frame that gives warm, ambient light to bedrooms, and office settings.

Last in the trio, HAY’s “Anagram Lamp” gets design from British designer Sam Weller. His contribution to the collection offers a bankers’ desk lamp look, with a modern use of curved anodized aluminum on the base, and a wider light cover than the traditional banker’s lamps. Finally, “Factor Linear Lamp” by Dimitri Bähler is a dimmable LED light tube that maximizes function in a simply designed lamp.
